View Full Version : Tiny bit of play in the triangle by the FSB...

Hi Everyone,

I've got a MOE handguard on my rifle and I noticed that the front of it can move vertically not quite 1/8" (probably 3/32"). I figured it was the stock, but it actually isn't, it is the triangle that the stock goes into. It looks like this triangle is press fitted between the barrel and fsb.

Is this a common thing? Is there anything I can do to eliminate the play or should I just ignore it? It isn't much, but I'd prefer no movement... Upper is a BCM BFH 16" LW MID.

Thanks,

Alan

Nothing to worry about. That triangle *handguard cap* is just floating between the FSB and the shoulder on the barrel.

Yeah some move, some don't, unless you really try. It isn't going to come out obviously but it's a friction fit from the press of the front sight base on it. Some people it bugs to death, I really and truly do not notice it with a forward thumb-over grip with MOE's and a MOE VFG.
