I just bought a PACT Club Timer III. Out of the box, it seemed to function fine. Well, I brought it to the range today and started having issues after 30 minutes or so. The two main problems are:

1. When I press the "Go" button and the buzzer goes off, the timer is recording the sound of the buzzer as shot #1.

2. when I shoot a string of rounds (say 1 round every 2 seconds) and I go back to review the splits, the times are all messed up. It will display anything from 0.05 seconds to 100 seconds between shots, even though the cumulative elapsed time is correct.

Anybody ever have these issues?

Try reducing the sensitivity of the receiver, to keep it from registering the beeper and any echos.

Look inside the battery compartent for a small screw in the bottom, and use a Phillips-head jeweler's screwdriver to turn it counterclockwise. Test the results.

Lather, rinse, repeat, until it's acting right.

I had to do the same with mine, because I was getting .1 splits, even when I was the only shooter in an indoor range, just from echos.
