Factory Glock Night sights?

Anyone using the factory Glock night sights? Do they have the same six o’ clock hold as the standard Glock Sights? Are they made of the polymer or are they using metal?

I've got a G27 with factory three-dot night sights.

Yes, they're metal. I've heard that they're actually Glock-branded Meprolight sights.

No, I don't think they have a 6 o'clock setup, but I didn't think that standard Glock sights did either.

I have a 27 with the standerd Glock sights and on mine at least mine it has more of a six o' clock hold. I thought that is how most were, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, my Glock 22 has Trijicon Night sights on and they are getting pretty dim. I just got my 27 this year and the six o'clock hold that it has, has really grown on me.

The ones that came on the G21SF's my dept. ordered were all metal sights.

Upon receiving the shipment two of the pistols had dead front sights right out of the box. A few months later a third gun's front sight went dead. These guns have been in service for a little over three years now and all of the other pistols still have sights running ok.

Glock-branded nightsights are comprised of Meprolite tritium vials encased in Glock-manufactured steel sights; they are fully warranted for 15 years (the other OEM nightsight alternative previously available from Glock, Trijicons, are warranted for 12 years, and the sight casings are not tennifer treated { I personally prefer the Trijicons, due to the slightly thinner front sight blade, which I find provides a reasonably quickly acquired day and night sight acquisition}). I'm uncertain if the Trijicons are still an OEM alternative, they aren't cataloged in the current Glock armorers parts list.

The Glock steel sights (both nightsights and standard steel sights) were also tennifer treated to preclude rusting. I assume that Glock's new metal treatment is applied to them as well (or they may just have a huge pool of tennifer treated ones in their parts bins).

Best, Jon Above is correct. Glock still does install trijicons for customers also if you send in the slide.I usually just drive down to have it done since I live close enough to do so.

I have Glock brand night sights on one older G19,which is most accurate with 124 gr. loads,and with those a six o'clock hold is used.

Steel, OEM, they are essentially rebranded Meprolights.

If you're not committed to the GNS, take a look at the Trijicon HDs.

I have them on my EDC G19. They're steel. POI varies with ammo and distance.

I run a G17 with factory night sights.

The gun is accurate with them and I am happy.

However, if they had not already been installed I would have choosen something else, preferably with a thinner front sight blade. It's not enough of an issue for me to change them though until the tritium dies.
