Best bang for your buck

Hey everyone,
Little background I have used M-4/M-16 style rifles for a while in the military, however I have not owned one yet. So i have decided that i want to add one to my gun collection. I am sure i will end up with more than one but this is going to the first. First i knew i wanted something with good reliability and accuracy. This is going to see use on the range and possibly for home defense should the need arise. Seeing as this is not a weapon I am taking downrange 5.56 is more than sufficient. I also want something with a quad rail system and a flat top so i can add optics and accessories such as weapon light. Finally I would like to keep the cost as close to 1,000 as possible.
So now that I have everything i want set out I have been spending some time on Google trying to figure out what fit. so I have come up with three contenders

Danial defense: DDM4 V1
spikes Tactual: ST 15 16" M4 LE Carbine w/12" BAR
BCM:BCM RECCE-14

These are in no particular order. if anyone has owned these guns I sure would love what you think of them. I hate not buying a gun when i haven't pulled the trigger on it so i want to get as much info as possible thanks for your input in advance.

The advice you're going to get on this forum is to buy the Daniel Defense or the BCM. Get whichever you find in stock, or if they're both readily available then get whichever is cheaper.

I have a DDM4 V1 since 2008. I have put close to 4,000 rounds through it with no problems. You have plenty of room for attachments as well. The iron sites are great and I haven't had to worry about losing my zero while running and gunning over the years.

I would have put more rounds through this rifle but I keep getting paid vacations from Uncle Sam. At least I can fire .50 cal from a helo at 13 bucks a shot with a 600 round drum.:dance3:

You can't go wrong with BCM or DD. Buy what fits your budget and your needs. Either way you will have fun.

Hard to argue with the current Colt prices either. BCM, Colt or DD (BCD) - can't really go wrong.

While you won't go wrong with a BCM or DD, at the moment I think a Colt 6920 or possibly a 6720 or 6940 is the best bang for the buck. Colt prices are now more in line with most other ARs and for those models (or at least the first two) in fact lower than some of the other best quality options. I think a 6920 with a drop-in quadrail (DD, KAC or Troy) would meet your requirements, and the rifle itself can be had for just a little under $1000.

Was at a gun show today to get my M&P 9C ( whic was had for 419.36 OTD)...saw a Colt 6920 for $1375, I totally LOL...and mentioned the I can get one for less than $950.00, I was told I was full of shit.....I laughed again and walked off.

Colt 6920 or 6720
Aimpoint PRO
VCAS or VTAC sling

Can't go wrong with either the BCM or DD you mentioned. I absolutely love my BCM 14.5 middy.

Basically best bang for your buck that you can depend on is Colt. But BCM, LMT, and DD can stand right next to Colt.

Colt really is doing good with their prices. BCM, LMT, and DD are more proven than Spike's are right now but their current LE stuff seems to be comparable to me thus far. I always shot Colt, I still do! but now I got a Spike's LE upper to mess with. I have gotten pretty down and dirty with it, and even took it hunting this past season. I've not had any problems whatsoever, but that doesn't mean much yet. I will for sure run it hard (desert range style) later for a more founded say on the performance levels as opposed to a Colt.

Best bang for your buck? Bcm or a colt 6920 it's hard to go wrong with colt as your first ar. I would save my pennies and get a noveske though :p

My latest build was using spikes love it definitly like the battle trigger they offer as well for $50 upgrade its worth double that maybe triple. I also had a friend order a rifle from Palmetto State Armory it runs as well as my Spikes. Since your title was Best bang for buck I put those two back into the mix.
