what's your training/shooting budget? I see you have ammo listed in there, is that for shooting or stockpiling? What you have listed there wouldn't last me 4 months, one month depending on what I've got going on.

I was all set to ignore the training/shooting aspect but then saw you had ammo listed so I wasn't sure. I know I have a lot of neato shit come through my hands but the vast majority of that stuff is T&E and my actual budget is almost all ammo.

Rob, thanks for the response and questions. I don't shoot nearly as much as you do. That would basically be a re-stock of shooting ammo for the year. I'm not out, still have about 3-4 months on-hand at my current pace. The exception being the 50 gr TSX. I will shoot the 75gr OTM currently loaded in my HD mags or save it for future use and load the TSX in those HD/go ready mags.

Also, it's probably worth noting that I have a serviceable carbine with an optic, a white light, and have completed a training course with Larry Vickers. Not saying I don't plan to take additional professional training, but just wanted to get that out of the way.

...but perhaps I'm missing something in terms of importance...

SHOT is in a week. Maybe there will be fantastical new toys that you have to have! At least wait and see if there is something that you didn't know existed but desperately need. THEN revisit the budget.

Based on your list:

I'd cut the ammo in 1/2 and reorder as needed/you see what you like to shoot most.

Take a look at how often you'd USE the purchase to determine which order to purchase in.

I'd get this first if it didn't have an internal lock, though I'd go w/out the CT personally; it conceals SO easily; I like my 642 over the 442 I had, the finish went to sh*t pretty fast:
-----
Smith 642 with Crimson Trace - $475. Want to transition to this as primary carry from G19 due to work attire.

I'd just get a Streamlight TLR-1 (basic light) (and the remote contour if you prefer activation by middle finger pressure) for $95 & $45 instead.
-----
Crimson Trace grips and Surefire X300 for G19 - $365 (industry deals). The G19 plays host to my AAC EVO9 and my thought with laser/light is to make it more HD friendly for my wife. The full size AR is a bit overwhelming to her.

plinking will be cheap with this, but would you rather have this or put the money toward the carbine/SBR?
S&W MP15-22 MOE w/PA Micro Dot - $620

if you REALLY want this, make it a priority, if not, then hold off; it's a lot of money; also, why SBR? what's wrong with a mid size 16"?
-------------
SBR with Aimpoint T1 (leaning towards Noveske 8" 300 BLK) - $2800

you don't get much for your money with these except less noise; you're wearing muffs anyway already:

AAC Element (22 Silencer) w/tax - $700

AAC 762SDN6 can w/tax - $1000 For use on currently owned 308 Rem 700, DD AR 5.56

Oh, wait.

Just get what you REALLY want the most. Don't settle for anything less.

You'll just end up buying crap/mid level and then getting the good stuff in the end anyway.

Ignore the previous 2 posts.

My plan for this year is to stockpile another 10K of 5.56 ammo, and 2K of .40 pistol ammo.
Also plan to have Adco attach my muzzle brake to my Colt MT6400R.

Simple goals for this year.

I'm having trouble following you.

I already have this:

I'd like some additional items. Sorry that's an issue for you.

Buy what you want NOW if you can afford it, as the election gets closer and closer, shit is going to get crazy. -- Just my prediction, I could be wrong.

I'm willing to bet you are correct

I would rank them on what you will use/need the most and go down the list.

Me, I'm just spending on training and ammo as I'm finishing up my second rifle now. My budget went to shit....My wife is prego and we are in the process of house shopping! LOL

Good Luck

Why? Even if the tards in this country were to vote for four more years of Ali Hussein, the Dems won't have the legislature....

Gun legislation is suicide now that Hussein's plan to arm the cartel's blew up in his goofy musloid face.

I hope you're right, but I'm planning for the worst and hoping for the best.

Fear sells.

It does.

While I agree with MarkM that Obongo (or whomever winds up in office) would have a difficult time gathering the political clout to do any real damage to the 2A, the fear of the possibility remains.
This is enough, IMHO, to make many gun owners uneasy enough to panic buy...

Buy it cheap, stack it deep.

Banning guns, much like banning violent video games, ran out of steam in the 1990s. No serious cries for new gun laws after VA Tech, Fort Hood, or the Giffords shootings.
