What's the low down on these? I saw a review where a guy shot the magazine with a 5.56 and ran it over with a truck and it was still 100%. People are saying they're the AK's PMAG and I've only seen a couple people have problems with them on TOS.

Why gamble with something as important as a magazine, especially when there are proven reliable alternatives in the same price range?
I thought the Bulgarian "Circle 10" mags were the P-Mags of the AK world...that's all I buy, I have no desire to fix something that isn't broke. YMMV
No offense guys, but you're taking this topic in a different direction than I intended. I'd prefer to keep it related to the Tapco mags. :)
Mine work fine in both guns.
The only hiccups have been with HP ammo.
Hope that helps.
If they're only going to be range mags, sure.
I think there are better deals on real East Eurpean steel military mags, but if you want you some Tapco, go for it.
;)
My buddy's got a bunch of these that I've had the chance to toy with.
The followers don't tilt, and there's no flex to the mag; it's rock solid. They're ruggedly built, and the followers seem to be the dogs nuts.
I'd consider them the closest thing to a P-Mag you can find for an AK.
I am planning on trying out the followers, as it WILL count as a 922 compliance part. The complete TAPCO mag should be 3 compliance parts IIRC (body follower & floorplate). Another consideration in the TAPCO is the weight savings. Those steel mags are darned heavy!
