Handled one at the shop today and it's pretty awesome. Very tight. The sideways scallops treatment felt a little weird, the finish was really flat black, not the low luster like the standard TRP.

I have only owned one Springfield (champion) and it was not reliable. Sent it back to Springfield and still didn’t run. However, my Colt DE wont run either very well (extractor clocking) and Colt wasn’t interested in fixing it (yes, I sent it back too.) so I might give this Springfield a try. I hand load for 10mm and I like the cartridge. I would like to see more reviews before I pull the trigger on one though.
My day is officially made!
has anyone added an optic to a TRP. I know the RMR is wider than the slide but the delta point pro might work. Is there a way of mounting that doesn't involve slide milling. If not, any recommendations for slide milling on 1911s. I have an itch for a 10mm optic equipped pistol. My buddy has a Glock 40 and its a pretty impressive package if you have the hands.

Trijicon makes a mounting plate for the 1911 that seems to work well with milling. ATEi can do the work, they actually just posted a picture of a 1911 they did yesterday I think.

I finger banged one in a LGS, it was nice like all SA and much like the TRP dynasty. I drink SA 1911 koolaid 100%. I have a LIpsey 9mm, or I would pony up for the 9mm in a heart beat. Would love to shoot the 10mm. Thanks to G4I for the video.
Im not a 10mm guy, but this is tempting.
