Also - I designed a heavy, LONG buffer for the Colt 9mms a couple of years ago that makes things a lot easier on the internals. It shortens the stroke and smooths out the recoil a lot. It's called the Q buffer, and Slash over on TOS sells them.
Just a thought.
hate to resurrect this thread, but I figured it was better than starting a new one.
Crossgun, did you ever get your Timney to work out in your 9mm? I have a 7.5" 9mm SBR w/ 9mm buffer that was having the same problems, I did all the adjustments I could on my first unit and it still had 1-4 out of 30 rounds where the hammer didnt reset, sent the unit back and got a new one that is like starting from scratch with 10-15 out of 30. The new unit has some minor changes, but looks like it still has the same problem. I realize that my best option is a different unit, but I wanted to know how you did
