Sorry guys, My AAC Blackout is the suppressor mount version...not like what Stickman shows.
The one that allows attachment of their M4-2000 suppressor is longer
The can versions are certainly longer.

Last but not least, you could always run this mount on an AAC M4-1000 or SCAR-L can, though its obviously not the blackout design.

The non-silencer BLACKOUT is at Brownells now.
I prefer the DC Vortex.

I have the Vortex on a LMT 14.5 upper. Its ok, I like the standard A2 more.
I have the vortex on my 14.5 and took one overseas on my issued weapon. IMO, if you do not have a sound supressor than a vortex is the next best thing for reducing your muzzle signature from being identified. 45.00 (vortex) or 1,000 (Supressor).
The Blackout is also very nice, nothing wrong with it my any means. I have one on one of my personal AR's, but I am more confident with the smith vortex.
Thanks for post, I.am going to order one today. Tired of flash when using my pvs/14.
Nothing short of EPIC necro post...you sir dug deep! :)
