It's a shame that the finish Arsenal uses on their rifles bubbles and flakes off.

No doubt their margins are slim and any cost improvements they can make are good. Excellent rifles. I will most likely purchase one of the new SLR-107-11's.
Meh. Never gave a *** about finishes. Never had issues either.

I am glad it performed well.
Plus magpul will be making mags for 5.45 soon.

This seems like a new problem. I never had issues with mushroomed carriers. I don't change triggers or soften them up. Speaking of .....you say to use the original because the aftermarket ones will eat the carrier. At the same time you soften the original?

From what I've gathered the Aresenal 'squid ink' paint that uses alcohol as a solvent is actually the same as the Sov used on the military AKs. If you're using the prescribed cleaner and oil the paint is perfectly fine. Brake cleaner or Easy Off, not so much.

Never mind, asked and answered.
Funny, cuz the new century triggers are DEFINITELY softer. They tend to 'get dinged' rather than the BC. They are also very crisp and so far fine for me. The G2's have been popular here, but WILL tend to ding the BC.

I re-profile the hammer face of all of my G2's like the one I am showing below. If you want to do a nice job by hand it takes about an hour. All you need is a file, and some quality sandpaper and some scotch brite pads. That is how I do mine anyhow. YMMV. Wear has decreased considerably.

This particular hammer has roughly around 1200rds on it through my SLR-107UR with no appreciable wear to the bolt carrier tail, nor to the hammer. YMMV. I've always been under the impression and just from visual cues, the hammer is struck right on the squared ridge by the bolt carrier tail, and that lead to a more severe deformation.
Lets time travel back to 2004-2008 - The carrier tail wear was considered normal and a-okay. Who knows.
Mikhail Timofeyovich Kalashnikov was a general officer of the Red Army, a hero of the Soviet Union, a hero of the Russian people, one of the most prominent firearms designers of the latter 20th Century, and extremely photogenic to boot. So I'm sure he only shook the hands of one or two people in his lifetime.
