My USAF GAU-5A inspired Takedown
A little background on why I built this thing. I typically stick with 14.5" and 16" carbines, I don't have any NFA stuff (SBR, suppressor, etc.) and AR pistols have never really interested me, but I ended up with a good deal on a BCM KINO upper, so I said what the hell I'm going to build a pistol for shits and giggles. I pick up a Vltor A5 pistol RE, Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod1 pistol brace and Tactical LAW folder…put it all on one of my SIONICS stripped lowers along with my usual FCD controls and SSA G-trigger. Man, I’m liking this thing, but alas Obumer days forces the sale of the KINO upper and ass end components (I kept the lower). As much as I like it and appreciated the compact size, I wanted something that could break even smaller…enter the USAF GAU-5A as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to build one.
