Cancellation Confirmation of form 1

Hey everyone,

I cancelled a pending form 1, 3 weeks ago. When can I sell the pistol (that was originally going to be an SBR)? All I have from the ATF is that they received my paperwork for cancellation. How do I know it has been cancelled so I can sell the thing?

You don't need confirmation to sell it. If it's not configured as an NFA item, it doesn't require NFA paperwork.

By canceled, you mean you're after a refund for an approved form for a firearm you never made/converted into an NFA firearm, right? As opposed to withdrawal which is stopping the processing of a submitted form before it's approved.

If you don't mind me asking, what pistol and why did you cancel it?
