Labor used to be cheap - now machine time is cheaper
I should note that CZ supposedly offers a very generous military/first-responder discount, which could make the CZ 805 Bren a fair bit cheaper than the SCAR 16S. I'm also curious as to whether or not the CZ will import the 806.
Thanks for the review.
Call CZ USA at 1-800-955-4486, use extension 362 to reach Andrew Eager, who handles the discounts as the LE & military sales manager; you can probably also reach him via email, aeager@cz-usa.com. Discounts are provided for military and first-responders, including volunteers (I'm VFD, and was able to get the price list) and retired. I have heard that discounts are also provided for firearms instructors from the NRA or Hunter Education programs, but I did not confirm that with Andrew. Note that Dan Wesson is a part of CZ, and is part of the discounted list, for you 1911 fans.

Thanks for the review!
The SCAR is gross. I'd consider a CZ 805 Bren or B&T 556 over a SCAR.
I owned two SCAR's and couldn't sell them fast enough.

Nice review.
The reciprocating charging handle and lack of bolt release are non issues to me.
The stock is another con I would add. It isn't uncomfortable but it's a pain to adjust sometimes. The snap on cheek riser isn't really ambi as when shooting off hand it has a little sharper edge on your cheek. It is reversible though.
Smooth shooting, great two stage trigger and bomb proof design of the Bren easily outweigh any cons IMO.
If and when adapters for the ACR stock become readily available it will be a good setup and should balance some of the front weight.
