The Argies made great FAL's.....
I have an Armscorp receivered Para, it's a well made receiver, they're just expensive.

Mark Graham is a hell of a good FAL smith. So are Rich at Century Gun Works and Derek at Azex.
Again, if you're still behind the lines in an AWB state, you're best option if you want all the "evil" goodies would be to find yourself a Springfield Armory SAR-48.
Randy Kline of Sledgehammer Arms Works, in Jacksonville TX nowadays, is another outstanding FAL smith. Here's a link to his FALFiles user page.

Guys, awesome.
Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it.
Here's my writeup of using the FAL at LRI, warts and all.

The L1A1 selector regarded as better than the metric.
The rest of the L1A1 is better too. My preference turned decidedly for the inch pattern rifles. The balance itself is outstanding.
They aren't cheap. But you can get one together for less than an import G3, or quality M14.
Does anyone have pictures depicting the differences between a fixed stock FAL bolt carrier and a folding stock FAL bolt carrier? I also want to see the folding stock FAL recoil spring assembly.
