Red loctite,
Honorable mention: dremil tools,
I don't really hate them per se, but any angled fore grip, be it Magpul or BCM, etc just doesn't work for me...I've tried them on several occasions and just can't make them comfortable
Doesn't Bushy, Rock River and DPMS use commercial tubes? Helped a friend change out a commercial for a mil spec on a circa 2014 DPMS.
Anything that’s done to be different, but not better, such a thing is called fashion. Anything with skeletonized control surface where more surface area would have served the user better (again, fashion)
I have found the VTAC sling very uncomfortable. That and when tighten it down it leaves a long tail that almost hangs to the ground.
Aesthetics without regard to function or use really burns me in general.
I can't believe nobody has said accu-wedge yet

Novelty lowers/uppers that add no utility to a rifle
For good and/or bad in the pro's and con's, the accu-wedge is better than flames, skulls, zombies, etc.. As there is a possible "pro" other than aesthetics only for that case. That wedge, as useless for most for preload is not totally useless for all. There is a lot of crap out there. Unfortunately, those sub par components or as a whole are represented in advertisement as superior product. Just look at what the can markets are now. Many inferior products sold as superior products that are worse than what we were at years ago, like your fathers generation.
There is a lot of crap in circulation in the market now, let's see what market demand is, and go from there for forward steps.
Almost everything but here is the short list:
Products that were designed for aesthetics before function
Non-free float hand guards
Non-two point adjustable slings
Almost all comps and brakes especially with fake cans that turn them into terrible flash suppressors (blast jacket/diverter/condom/fiddle fart toy)
Anything from anyone who invents a problem to sell an item that "solves" it.
Most of the market falls into the first or last category.
