Hey All,
I went parts bin diving and found an A2 stock and buffer assembly.
I was thinking of putting it on my LMT MRP carbine.
Will the buffer weight work for .223/5.56, 6.8mm, and .204 Ruger?

I run an A1 stock/rifle buffer on my BCM mid-length, and have also used it with a Double Star 7.62x39 upper.
With the BCM/rifle buffer it works 100% with every commercial brass case ammo I have tried - PCM, winchester, Federal bulk. It does not cycle Wolf 55 well - lots of short strokes. It cycles Brown Bear 62 very well, but I did have one apparent short stroke out of approx 600 rounds of that stuff down the pipe - so 99.9% i guess. Mid-power reloads (1 to 2 grains under max) seem to cycle just fine.
With the Double Star 762x39 upper I have never had any problems I could attribute to the buffer weight. I have had plenty of "nose dive" failure to feeds, but I don't see those as being related to the buffer - more of a feed ramp or magazine issue.
Hope that helps.
