Court Rejects D.C.'s En Banc Request: 'Good Reason' for Concealed Carry Remains Unconstitutional. Very big win today for DC residents, we are hoping DC files a petition for a writ of certiorari before the Supreme Court. If SCOTUS rules in our favor all states that have G&S becoming Shall Issue.

Congrats! I'm from the opposite coast, but anything that promotes the spread of Shall Issue anywhere is good news EVERYWHERE, especially if it helps force Nonresident Shall Issue or more preferably Recognition/Reciprocity.

If it moves onto SCOTUS, I am worried about roberts and kennedy. We have obamacare because roberts didn't have the balls to do what is right.

One would imagine, Jersey, NY, MD and other socialist states are burning up the phone, requesting DC not to file a petition.

Excellent point, PD. Right now, the Court is four Avowed Communists, two switch-hitting Lite Beer Dems and three solid Conservative/Libertarian Spectrum sorts, and we don't WANT the Supremes anywhere NEAR gun issues until we have at least five reliably pro-gun votes.

As I've snarked, my girlfriend has a bigger pair o' nuts than Roberts, Kennedy and the rest of the Rockefeller Wing combined--I know, because I'm the one who pulled two exceptionally large steel hex-nuts out of the toolbox and GAVE 'em to her. (Though I'm surprised the Bitchy Little Girls at State Dept. DDTC haven't started pissing their frilly pink panties trying to call THAT an "ITAR Violation"...)
