Probably an easy one for y'all, but what's the story behind these metal stocks? Found it in an old shed we had permission to sort through and couldn't resist. There is a B stamped on the side and that's about it marking-wise. Slid it on a milspec tube and it's significantly larger. Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like an aluminum Bushmaster commercial CAR stock to me, which wouldn't make it worth more than $30-40 if that.

This is correct. The diameter is unusual as it is close to commercial diameter. Bushmaster had a 3-position buffer tube that was used with these stocks. You might say that it was a proprietary buffer tube. IIRC, a commercial buffer tube can be used. The fit will be a bit off. I had one of these stocks a couple years ago and sold it for $25.Quote:
