Remington LE 5R Rifles

I am considering the purchase of another Remington 700 5R 308; I have heard a number of Remington 700 QC issues addressed recently (chamber anomalies, off center bores, bad muzzle crowns, extraction problems). I gave my son a Stainless 5R 308 that regularly shoots 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups with Sierra 168 and 175 Match bullets. Interested in hearing about favorable purchases made this past year. Are 5R's made in new Remington plant?
