From what I am seeing the (R) stands for re-classified and exactly what that means seems to be a mystery... Why would they reject it, over-run is one thing but I don't think they would re-box it. The stripper clips were a term in the contract with the FBI I believe.
The Federal XM556FBIT3 I got about 1 year ago gave me 5MOA as the BEST group while Fed Fusion 62 MSR gives me under 2MOA all day. I got rid of the FBI ammo...They can keep it.
I had similar results using it in several different rifles. Hopefully, it was because it was "XM" and production version doesn't show similar results.Quote:
