    Max range for 10" AR?

What is the maximum range an AR with a 10" barrel is usable to? Is an 11.5" barrel substancially more capable?

What do you mean by useable, are we talking about accuracy or lethality?

Lethality I guess, but I was going to leave that open. Accuracy I think is not really an issue.

Check out some of TRIDENT82's threads on his shooting with his 10.5" out to 300 yards.

I've shot 10.3" guns out to 600 meters, and achieved far more hits than misses, and stuffing a 77gr bullet through someone's torso at any velocity is not a way to ensure a long a prosperous life.

The energetic frag range is greatly reduced from that of a 20" or 14.5" barrel when all other variables are equal, but exactly what that range is is highly dependant on bullet type and construction.

I'm curious if there is a general range? I've read before that 50-75 yards max for reliable bullet performance out of a 10.5" barrel.

Does adding a suppressor increase this distance and bullet velocity?
