People seem to poop themselves when they see billet lowers from no name companies, so I guess there must be something to it. Then again, twilight, hunger games, and harry potter are popular.

I have a hunch Umbrella Corporation is getting ready to release their new lowers. They have made a few changes to their page since I looked at it last, including price for one lower $175 and additional lowers $250.

I know a hunch isn't much, but it might be worth watching if you need a lower and $175 is pretty good these days.

Thanks, picked up a pair for the collection... From the research I've done, cold machining if done properly can result in a stronger lower than a forged one although there's a lot of controversy. Some people are dead set on forged lowers being stronger due to the grain structure of the metal. The method used for forging aluminum lowers is a bit different from forging steel - it's almost a casting.
