From what I have gathered Bulgarian Circle 10 lead the pack. Also these are hard to find and Midway has them listed as discontinued by the manufacturer. Are these not coming in country any more? Thanks guys.
    My favorites (in order) are:

    1) Servicable, unchipped Bakelite
    2) Romanian Steel
    3) Bulgarian Poly ((10)) or ((21))

I prefer Bakelite. I've ordered from the link below many times and they are always on time and as described.

The only other types I have are four polymer 45 rounders I bought from KVAR... but they're a bit spendy.

+1 to what has been said multiple times. Any military magazine works. I have 8 Russian plums, by way of Bulgaria. Polish magazines use a different plastic and aren't quite as tough and can crack if subjected to mistreatment. Other than that, I think they're all equal. Don't use any US magazines, or mags from any other country that never fielded the AK (e.g., South Korea).

The same goes for 7.62 magazines.

Will the Bulgarian 5.45x39 Circle 10's work in the Norinco 84S 5.56x45?

It just kills me that I remember buying that same exact E. German 4 pack for $19.99 from CDNN and that was during the ban. If only I had bought all of them...who knew?

    Steyr,
You just made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. I've been buying 74 bakelites for about three years and the price has done nothing but increase. I can't imagine how many I'd have at the $19.99 price point.

Even still, I have a fair collection now, just bought a 4 pack every other month or so for a few years. I have more than I'll need for the two 74's I have though.

Ohhh the hay days, how they are missed.
