Ok, a list of parts and a picture...

Some information would be nice, otherwise this thread is going to be sent to the "AR Picture Thread".

Let us know why you chose what you did, what you used before, and how the parts are holding up to expectation.
This should, of course, follow a trip to the range.

I built this carbine with a primary focus on weight, reliability, and accuracy. My old 20" H-bar was just too heavy...but it made a good donor, for alot of parts. The only three parts I did not re-use is the barrel, The MI 12" two piece hand-guards, and the EA lower.
I chose the DD barrel, because of the weight, and reputation.
I chose the MI gen 2 SS hanguard, for the weight reduction, and style
I really was trying to get a BCM lower, but I got too good of a deal on
The RRA stripped lower, from a local shop.
The Magpul AFG seems like it was meant for this hand-guard.
The only part I think I will change, is the CAA grip, because of the small storage compartment, and I prefer the feel of the MFT pistol grip on my WASR.
I test fired with 90 rounds of Silver Bear, to test the reliability.
I love this carbine! So far, I think I have a winner, only time will tell.

How do you like the Tubbs cs spring? Did you have to cut a few coils off to run it carbine length with the st-t2?

What is the black wire like "thing" hanging down in the trigger guard area?

If I didn't know any better, I'd say it looks like a homemade Bad-Lever. I hope that's not the case!

The tubbs spring is nice, I have not had to modify it at all. The combination of the ST-T2 and the spring seems to make a difference in recoil for sure, plus the action is a bit stiffer.

That is actually the Schuster version of a BAD lever....it doesn't look as nice as a BAD lever, but I think it works better...for me.

Right on, wasn't hating! No need to justify your purchase to anyone, it is good you found what works for you best! And even more props to you that you don't care if it isn't the "tacticool" model.

I have the BAD lever it works well for me but I haven't tried any other versions.

    Gun looks great! Congrats

The thing I don't like about the BAD lever is, that there is no adjustability, with the Schuster...you can adjust it by simply bending it to the conture you want it.
