Ill admit I did mine (silver - looks white, had the lower, 20yrs old, waiting for upper to ship, was board, and with a friend who also had a lower, waiting for upper... It happens). Anyways, I used a crayon we found, melted it in with a hairdryer and after ks of rounds, clp, motor oil, and gun scrubber, its still there. I cant see spending $ on it. Im not in to it anymore, but it looks like you did a decent job. Clean and crisp. If its a range gun cool, anything more... welp.

I didn't close this one, but in retrospect, I probably should have, as it had nowhere to go but down.
One quick postscript: pay very close attention to who chose to reply to this thread, and who didn't. The absence of input by our most seasoned and experienced members ought to tell you something about where conversations like this fit into the site culture of M4C.
