Nice looking stick! Did you mean Aimpoint T-1? Rather than R-1? Just curious not nitpicking. Good job.

He did say "Aimpoint R-1/ shitty black rattle can".

Nice build, pretty similar to mine, aside from furniture. You will dig the LaRue index clips.

Yeah, R-1. I got it back when Midway was letting them go for 300 bucks. Soon I'll order some black Duracoat and paint it right.

Yesterday I shot 180 rounds of Wolf through it without a single malfunction. That's what I expected of course, but anytime I mess with the gas tube I'm always worried that I ****ed something up. It's nice when it works

Thanks for the kind words gents!

Well done. No nonsense, well thought out build.

ETA: You've probably heard this before, but feeding that thing Wolf ammo is like putting Heidi Klum in a pair of coveralls and putting a paper bag over her head...not just a bad idea but definitely not doing any favors.

On a coating note, you will want to investigate how Duracoat compares to Cerakote... Just sayin. I wont shill it to you, but its definitely worth understanding if and how it surpasses Duracoats performance.

Bacon Six: I want to be able to shoot more. The cheaper the ammo, the more I can shoot. I know it wears things down faster, but that's okay with me. I'll order spare parts or an extra BCG to keep handy.

Pax: I'll give Cerakote a look. I really like the way Duracoat flows out of the airbrush. It also seems very durable. I painted my CCW with it a few months ago and it's not showing any sign of wear.

    Question for you guys.

Since I haven't purchased the light or mount yet, do you guys recommend something different from what I plan to buy? (Thorntail with VTAC L4)

    Thanks for the compliments!

Solid light choice if you ask me

I'm a Wolf hater because I've had cases get stuck in the chamber so badly I had to get a hammer and a one piece steel rod to hammer it out. Granted it was FA with a can...details I say!

Put another 60 rounds of Wolf through it today. No issues so far.

Aesthetics be damned, here it is as it sits.

It'll have to be function over fashion until I can spare the coin for the parts I want.

That's an X300 on a Gear Sector mount and FDE index clips. All from a spare parts bin.
