    VA Dinger,

Did you have Springfield install the 10-8 rear sight when you ordered the gun, or did you send it back to them to have it installed?

    I hate you all.

I've got this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that I'll be flying home from SHOT with an order for a new 1911 in my bags. Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, please stop posting pics of these beautiful 1911s!

Slap yourself and come to your senses. While your picking out your 1911 why don't you pick out a Willys jeep to drive around in too.

Dude, if you'd ever taken a ride in LAV's Willys you wouldn't tempt me with that, too!

    Mr. Green:
If you want to drool over some really nice 1911s (though some folks say they are antiquated), gander over to the Louderthanwords booth at the SHOT show and handle those 1911s by Harrison Customs, Heirloom Precision, Chuck Rogers, Stan Chen, Don Williams and Ned Christensen. After that, you won't look at a factory or semi custom 1911 the same way.

I spent quite a bit of time there last year. If any of the LTW 'smiths is interested in doing a 50,000 round endurance test please let me know.

Something tells me I'd get a dirty look when I insisted on Lasergrips, though.

No, they were installed by a gunsmith after I had owned the gun for a few months.

Man what a beautiful weapon. Almost exactly how I want my next full size 1911 to look.
