Chuck, I love the way that bull barrel mates to the slide.

Nice Colt, congrats! I have the same pistol being used as a base gun at John Harrison's, it should be done in a few months.

Took the operator to an EAG carbine class and the STI to a TR pistol class where I broke it on TD2

    My new pony

Series 80 1991A1, I just picked it up at the gunshop yesterday, I was looking for an inexpensive shooter. Going to do some slight variations: ambi-safety, reliability and trigger job, but I want to keep it plain-jane as much as possible.

That is the only full length Operator I have ever seen which actually looks appealing to me. Fine taste. How did it fair in the EAG class you mentioned?

    aggunner,

LOVE that operator. I want it!

Thanks y'all. The EAG class was a real low round count for pistols but it was fine.

The gun started as a standard loaded and I had a storm lake barrel and EGW bushing fitted. I then installed a C&S guts along with a NHC thumb safety.

Out of all of my 1911s, it's my favorite and will eat just about anything, including SWCs.
