    My first non-Colt 1911. Bought last May. Completely stock because it is just cool


























    My second non-Colt, a Springfield Loaded I bought a few months later. I added a few things to my liking that I prefer on my 1911's, like a short trigger and arched mainspring housing. Also fitted an EGW hard sear, EGW ball head disconnector, and a Harrison hammer. I had to replace the stock Springfield mainspring as it was just about completely flat and had hammer follow out of the box. I used a new factory Colt spring and have had no problems. I also got rid of the two piece guide rod and am using a Wilson flat spring with a GI plug. Shoots like a DREAM! And here I was thinking Colt was the only way to go....

    Did not realize the cz 1911's were made in USA- looks nicely put together for an entry level pistol
