The Benchmade Osbourne is an awesome knife. Everyone I know that has one, truly enjoys theirs.
Other than being a little on the large size for an EDC folding knife, it it really nice for my uses.
I have a friend who professionally sharpens knives, he did this one and it cuts everything I can ask it to cut through "normal" usage.
Pic thread.

Well I was looking for a certain power factor more than anything, namely 215,000 or more. .50 GI likes a fast-burning powder so I just stuck with my old favorite, Bullseye, 5.55 grains with a .50 caliber 255 SWC from Rim Rock Bullets...... this gives me about 900 FPS / 229,500. Guys use 255's in .45 too but getting them to go that fast is getting near the edge for .45 ACP whereas for the .50 GI it's no biggie. It works the comp just fine, it having been made wide, deep, and tall with the idea that .50 GI being on the mild side, it might not "activate" a comp as well as something like .38 Super at a 175,000 power factor.
The two-tone is a Colt I did for myself in 1991, it's been a primary 1911 for competition of all kinds since then, having a comped top and a standard one.
Some really nice iron in this thread... you guys are tempting me to post Photoshopped drawings for a Longslide I conceived in college and still intend to build someday--Patrick Sweeney was intrigued by the concept enough to tell me to write into Roy Huntington at American Handgunner with it if I ever built the pair (the concept was a matched left/right set with 5, 6 and 7" slides and both .450 SMC and 10mm barrels for each slide), and some experienced eyes to spot potential pitfalls in my work might be helpful if you guys are game. (Personal aside @Ned Christiansen, next time you talk with Patrick, would you please let him know he still has folks around what-used-to-be-AmBack that miss him? )

Garthwaite sent this back. He originally did the work and I had him finish her up. Arrived today.
