    Chuck Rogers showed up.

    Very nice Chuck!

By the way the slide and mag release are setup, it looks like the gun was made for someone with smaller hands.

Nice work Chuck! What was the thinking on the mag release, and the slide stop? The slide stop looks like it would be awkward during reloads.

with that slide stop, i can drop the slide with my strong hand thumb, w/o altering my grip. as soon as i get a new mag in, my support hand rotates into my firing grip, w/o having to get to the slide stop. it also aids in one hand reloading from slide lock. instead of looking for something to rack the slide/sight on, i can just hit it with my strong hand thumb.

it's also easier for clearing a double feed. the lever is a much easier target for my thumb when trying to lock the slide back.

Thanks for the reply....... When I do reloads I use my weak hand to drop the slide as I am moving back on target. Great out of the box thinking on your build.

John Harrison is building me a hard use gun that I will be replicating the SS that is on my Nighthawk Vickers which sticks out more than most......

That mag-well (stan chen's?) is superbly blended. And the rear of the slide treatment, that had to be a bitch to complete...especially flowing it down into the frame..

    Thanks for the nice comments.
This gun was built to my customer's rigid specifications.
I don't always get to choose every detail.
This is what a true 'custom gun' is all about. A gun built YOUR way, not the smith's.

No, the magwell is not a Chen. Actually it's an old and discontinued Ed Brown 'Maxi-well'
that I add my own touches to.
