Anyone know of a good muzzle break for a 308. I looked into Ops Inc. but not sure if they have one for a 308. Buddy of mine is looking for one for his DPMS 308.

Why would you want a broken muzzle?Originally Posted by Voodochild

Bushmaster makes a good break, I saw this one break right off and fly about 25yds into the dirt backstop in 2003. Glad I had a camera handy.Originally Posted by Voodochild
Colt also made a good break on their early 6400C's. This isn't my photo, but if you find one with roll pins, it will eventually break off too.
Guys, we know that he meant brake, so let's not give him a complete ration, ok?
Does he want a brake for recoil reduction purposes or because he lives in a not so free state?
Personally, I really hate brakes, they're too damn loud and blasty......I'd recommend a Smith Vortex flash suppressor or even just an A2 style like Armalite uses on their AR-10's.
The Armalite brake for the AR-10 was fairly effective.
Templar he was looking into it for recoil reduction. And for those of you that were busting my balls. Your off my Christmas card list shame on all of you....

Hey bro,
I use a Bennie Cooley brake (JP rifles makes it) on my 3 gun rifle, it and a rifle Enidine buffer makes it recoil like a 10/22.
Here's some old pics of my rifle. It now has a CMT upper receiver. Next year I may build a different upper for it. I'm thinking maybe a VLTOR MUR upper receiver (if Larues sin't out by then), 18" Noveske bbl and Larue 13.2" rail.
