Cool - looks like it uses a similar kind of screw as the Omega rail to tighten the rail to the barrel nut.
Wonder what the upside/downside are compared to the Omega rail? What niche would it fill the Omega doesn't?
Since it's not freefloat and costs half as much as the original Omega, it looks like it's meant to compete with the troy and kac drop-in rail systems.
Didn't look at the price. Thanks.
I'm not seeing how this is much of a leap over the TROY MRF-DI's, or the existing offerings.
It'll still be a great seller when packaged with the complete uppers, just wish it had QD cups in the rear like the old Omega

I remember watching an interview on YouTube of a DD rep at the SHOT show and he stated that one of the reasons they were producing this rail was that it was easier to machine. Probably the lack of QD points for a sling swivel resulted in a higher weight. I wonder how rock solid it will be in comparison to a Troy, especially since you can remove the bottom rail like the RAS does. On this one, it looks as if the bottom rail has some fasteners, so I imagine it'll tighten down better than the bottom rail on the RAS.
Maybe DD is trying to get more MIL contracts?
No heat shields I would rather have a heat shield than a continuous rail.
But its still .
I'd rather have a RAS
I don't like the cantilever rail over the delta ring
I don't like the uneven stud/grove picatinnny rail spacing that allows the end of the rail to stick past a rail cover.
