To clarify are you talking about a drop in non free float, free float tube, or a modular set up such as the Troy alpha/sampson evo/Noveske NSR?

    noveske NSR or seekins SP3R

If you are on a budget and need a top rail, Midwest Industries SS or Troy alpha rail.

You won't find a lot of complaints about the Magpul MOE handguards, and they are about 1/3rd of the price... which is significant, when you're talking about a handguard that does absolutely nothing except guard your hands from heat...

    Hand guards

+1 on the Magpul moe hand guard. They are an outstanding product, and if you decide to put some rails on in the future just buy some magpul rails and your good to go.

I prefer the stock double shielded style but the Moe is comfy to say the least.

The Magpul MOE is really tough to beat. Its lightweight, modular and priced right.

Another option is the Strike Industries MITCH, it nice to have a built in hand stop and you wont have the exact same forend as everyone else at the range.

And there is nothing wrong with a good double heat shield 'GI' style.

Another vote for the MOE. Great price and you can attach rails later on if you wish. Also since they are cheap if you wish to upgrade to free float later your not out a lot of cash.

Another vote for the MOE. It's not a rail by any means but you can effectively attach a light and or VFG.

When compared to other plastic handguards, it takes a HUGE lead IMHO.
    If not me, then who?
