    Unless there's been legal precedent already or a law is very specific, then nobody will be able to tell you what is acceptable or legal until they get arrested and go to court.

    This is probably the safest bet, but I would never say it is definitely legal according to the CT law.

    Can you have a belt fed gun there ? There would be no mag .

    Mmmm, belt fed!

    That said, it's probably a HELL of a lot cheaper to weld a bullet button.

    California uses something called a bullet button, look into that.


    I am doing a magazine conversion for someone to make the 19 round 9mm magazine "Chicago compliant". It's a stainless mag, I am welding 2 pins within the mag to keep it from holding any more than 10 rounds. You probably couldn't weld the magazine into the receiver since the receiver is most likely aluminum and the mag steel or plastic. But you could afix some kind of aluminum butt plate and weld that on.... Ahh just get a bullet button, alot less work.

    Could just put epoxy on the mag and then slide it in. But if the mag ever went bad you would have a hard time changing it out.
