2nd, it is easier to outfit completely new kind of force with new equipment, then transition whole armed forces. We did not even complete transition from AKM/AKMS 7.62x39mm to Beryl 5.56 NATO.

What bothers me somehow is that OT will use same ammo, but different magazines than regular army. There is however prototype of magazine conversion for Beryl in the works (I even Alpha tested it for some time for factory). Maybe this conversion will finally be adopted to allow use of STANAG magazine in Beryl.
    Makes sense.

What magazines will OT be using? And is there a reason for the use of two different types of magazines?

Grot (MSBS) use STANAG magazine. Current issue wz. 96/06 Beryl uses AK style magazines (green-translucent Beryl are great magazines, very reliable and very durable). FB Radom wants to be able to provide factory conversion for Beryls to use STANAG magazines (also adding bolt hold open device).

While Beryl magazines are superior to STANAG mags, going to STANG makes our mags compatible with our allies weapon system and vice versa. This makes a lot of sense in joint operations. That is why MSBS was designed to be compatible with STANAG magazine.

Some more MSBS (Grot) news. FB Radom dis slight modification to front handguard and now slots followe M-Lok standard (licensed by Magpul). M-Lok now becomes second accessory mounting standard in Polish Military together with NATO Accessory Rail (Picatinny). Also civilian Grot will have M-Lok handguard. Score one for Magpul

Any news on whether or not we are ever going to see these here in the states?

I highly doubt it but who knows.

Considering US import restrictions I doubt it will be possible w/o US manufacturing facility. And FB Radom just pulled a plug on FB Radom USA.

They could import it as a pistol like CZ did with the Bren.

CZ has established business in US. FB Radom either need to start from a scratch or find a partner. Last time they found a partner it was I.O. Inc. Should I elaborate?

All the other european manufacturers that want to import their stuff manage just fine, if they don't, it's because they choose not to.

FB Radom is very small company. Up until quite recently their annual production was not even close to monthly output from CZ. It is also (despite being limited liability company) a state owned business. Like in socialism, if you know what I mean.

    Well, that explains it. Unfortunately.
