Do we have a "what to bring to class" thread somewhere?

I thought we did, but it's obviously not tacked and I couldn't find it. Maybe if we can come up with a list to help guys out when going to their first class? The main post could be just the list, with discussion of the items below. Off the top of my head:

    Primary Rifle
    Sling
    Backup Rifle
    Rifle Magazines
    Rifle Magazine Carriage
    Rifle Ammo

    Optic
    Spare Optic Batteries (if required)

    Primary Handgun
    Holster
    Backup Handgun
    Handgun Magazines
    Handgun Magazine Carriage
    Handgun Ammo

    Tool Kit
    Multi-tool
    Cleaning Kit

    Eye Protection
    Backup Eye Protection

    Primary Ear Protection (electronic)
    Backup Ear Protection (plugs)

    Kneepads
    Elbow Pads
    Gloves
    Dump Pouch
    Shooting Pad/Mat

    Hat
    Rain Gear
    Sunscreen
    Bug Spray
    Hand Sanitizer
    First Aid Kit
    Ibuprofen

    Weapon Light
    Hand-Held Light
    Spare Batteries

I'd strongly suggest trauma tape and some sort of NSAID, I prefer Ibuprofen. The trauma tape can be a life saver, especially on day 2 or 3 of a handgun class when your hands are starting to get raw in certain places. It holds up well and can really help get you through without resorting to gloves.

The Ibuprofen is often overlooked, but most people aren't in the best shape and will be sore after the first day. I have actually started to pre-load up on Ibuprofen a few days before class to help fight the aches and pains. Pre-loading will help you to get a jump on any inflammation that will start up in class.

I'd also add a Camelbak. It always cracks me up to see people come to a class here in the SW, get up on the line in 100 degree heat, and all their water is 50 yards away at the staging area.

Hmmm.. no cleaning kit? I always bring a one piece cleaning rod incase anyone cooks a wolf case to the inside of their chamber.

I also bring a neck gaitor these days. No matter how much sunscreen I put on, I always get the red neck.

That is a great checklist, and just about exactly what I was going to wind up with for personal use. I wanted something I could laminate and stick in the rifle case to check things off as I am packing for class.

I don't have a back up rifle or pistol. I hope my junk doesn't break. I'll have to sit and watch.
