M4 vs HBAR barrel accuracy and weight

I'm planning on building another carbine AR 15 soon and I'm trying to decide what kind of barrel I want to get for it.

I'm planning on using a NFA LW 15 polymer lower with a mil-spec buffer tube and a metal parts kit. I'll be using a magpul moe handguard on the upper to keep weight down.

I want my new AR 15 build to be lightweight and fairly accurate to about 150 yards and less. I want something that I kind shoot at the range on a table and something I could carry around that doesn't way too much.

How much lighter would a 16" M4 barrel be, compared to a 16" HBAR?

Would you notice accuracy lost on a M4 compared to a HBAR at 150 yards and less?

    Thanks

150yds...... you could get a Lightweight profile barrel from Noveske, Centurion, BCM, or Daniel Defense and "shoot the lights out" on out past 150yds all while shaving weight. Quality of barrel has a greater impact on accuracy than barrel profile....especially at such a short distance.

The main place a heavier barrel will improve accracy is when going back and forth from suppressed. A heavier barrel will be more stout and not shift poi as much as a thin barrel.

If you've already decided on a polymer lower a standard weight barrel or H bar makes no sense. If you want a lightweight you can get a 6 pound complete rifle while still using an aluminum lower.

Just buy a good barrel, thick or thin, long or short. Quality is your key. Don't use a plastic lower. There is no good reason.

For less than 200m, a Colt 6720, or 6933 will suffice. It's a good starter.
