Put Allen West on the ticket- I'll bet they vote for him.
My observations are different. Black America votes (almost in totality) for the Democrat.

We've had Republican black candidates trying to beat Democrats in elections around here. The black folks vote (almost in totality) for the Democrat. There are plenty of excuses (the R is an Uncle Tom, etc.), but the result is the same.

How much support in the black community is there for upstanding public figures like Condoleeza Rice, Herman Cain, Clarance Thomas, and Alan Keyes? I haven't seen any.

It's a damn shame. The Democrats are poison for us, regardless of our skin color.

I agree. It's not just race. It's perceived oppression. No where to turn. No way out...... Hell.. The Art of War 101... never fight an enemy that has no way out.. they have to defeat you or else...

I don't know how to do that, but the immigration issue is one that the GOP should own from the theoreticals. Not get basked over the head with.

That will not help. Democrats have won the Hispanic vote by 70% margins for 30 years and it has nothing to do with immigration policy. It has everything to do with the Democratic Party's generous social welfare.

In other words, get rid of that mental picture of Hispanic workers coming to America to perform labor that our citizens refuse. They really come to suck the government teet.

    SPOT ON!
I am in full agreement. This issue has also been well-covered on National Review by some other others, such as Andrew McCarthy.

Dems/Liberals/takers were united behind one candidate

Conservatives/Patriots/Constitutionalists/makers were divided between Romney, Johnson, Paul, or stay at home in apathy.

We got what we voted for.

You can't expect the conservative/patriot/Constitutionalists to vote when you run a candidate who represents, "D. None of the above."

Who exactly did Mitt represent? For the HUGE Tea Party led backlash that led to the 2010 House take over the GOP never embraced the Tea Party, and in their quest to please everybody but end up pleasing no one approach they pulled the rug out from under themselves. Hard to win when your biggest selling point is I'm slightly worse than that guy, and still get all the stigma of being a Republican.

And I'm not saying the GOP needs to rush back to hardcore morality police/religious crew. There are a lot of voters out there who don't like either party. The risk is alienating some of your current voters. Would legalizing pot gain more voters than you'd lose? Don't know. Have a feeling the GOP is going to run to the left of issues though. Already a lot of buzz about amnesty and adopting the DNC platform when it comes to immigration. This would follow the path they have been on by going further and further left each election cycle. I think they finally reached a point where they're losing more and more of the base than they're gaining in return. Mitt had the lowest GOP turn out in 3 election cycles even with a crappy economy and a shitty president. I don't think the GOP string pullers are smart enough to not give us more of the same shit they've been doing, and give us an even worse candidate than Mitt. It will take someone else to get the nomination who wasn't the (un)official pick like Mitt was this time.

I was in the "stay at home in apathy or disgust" group, because I saw during the primaries where the Repub nominations were heading for, and decided to not lay out $800+ to obtain US citizenship to buy the right to vote, so I have no reason to blame anybody for where we ended up. Instead, invested the money in more ammo.

Finally someone says it. A House divided cannot stand. I really think those people that say they are for liberty wish for chaos to rule so they can eat their MREs and shoot from the roof. They are not going to like what they have started.

Wow. I think you need to go home to your home land.

You dumb ****s, you made your stand. You don't even know what you have done! There was a bit of hope, but that is long gone. You think guns an ammo will fix things? Your not thinking, you need to wake up. I'm done wasting my breath when you are not listening and you are blinded by your own selfishness. $800 to be a US citizen is chump change brother.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
