Dignitary Protection Course Phase One

The LMS Defense Dignitary Protection Course Phase One will provide students with an introduction to plain clothes protective services operations. Students will become proficient in the basic close protection skill set. Topics include dignitary protection mission overview, assassination methods and mitigation, detail organization, advances, risk assessments and route surveys, command post operations, mission planning and briefs, residential and fixed site operations, motorcade operations orientation, arrivals and departures, basic formations, protection driving (basic), protection combatives, protective shooting (handgun), immediate action drills, and defensive medicine. This course will include several real-time training exercises.

Phase One is intended to be taken as part of our three phase program.

Tuition for this course includes hotel lodging.

Duration: 7 days

Prerequisites: Basic firearms training from a respected training provider, valid driver license and common sense.

Equipment Needed:

Business attire w/ blazer and tie for all 7 days
Casual Civilian clothes for all 7 days (think multi-use clothing)
PT Gear and running shoes
Handgun with 3 magazines
400 rounds of handgun ammunition
Eye and ear protection
Concealed Weapons Permit (optional) ***If you do not have a valid concealed weapon permit, you will need to contact us to arrange for a plastic training gun and concealable holster for the public training exercises.
Surefire or like flashlight
Cell Phone
Pen and notebook
Laptop and digital camera (optional but recommended)
