A 721 Remington with a replacement stock would do the trick aside from stainless steel. Lima, OH gun show had 3 or 4 last month.

At this point I have about 80 rounds through the Ranger. I scoped it with a Zeiss Conquest and it is a nice little scope. Observations.

    1. From a rest the rifle is MOA even with crappy power-point ammo. I am sure someone could wring better accuracy out of it but I buy whatever is cheapest at Wal-Mart.

    2. The trigger is too heavy. Need to figure out how to adjust it.

    3. I would like to lighten the rifle if there is a syntheic stock that will trim it down. It kicks hard but I don't care.

    4. I was shooting at plates at 200 from various positions and it is a nice, accurate rifle. I just need to cut back the trigger weight a bit.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”
