Colt LE6920 with no firing pin spring??

I just brought a colt LE6920 home. Reading the manual and takining it down to clean it. When i pulled the firing pin out there was no spring!!?? I lost a spring the first time i took a gun down 19 years ago and i have not lost one sence. I know that there is a much greater chance of me loosing it than they forgetin to put it in. I just need someone to tell they "DO" have firing pin springs. Thanks.

The standard AR15 design does NOT have a firing pin spring.

Your Colt is good to go.

The firing pin on the AR-15 is a free floating design so no spring is needed.
