C4IGrant, have you seen this? Looks like it has the top tab for inside the receiver that some find desirable. Obviously the Geiselle RR is much beefier and I have no regrets I purchased it but at half the price this might be great for someone only doing an occasional barrel change out.
Wow, that looks cool! I use my Reaction Rod several times a week, but I guess I'm a tool junkie 'cause I want one of these too!

Has anyone actually been able to purchase the BEV? There were discussions and videos on it months ago, but I have not seen one in stock for sale.

They haven't been released for sale yet, but should be available very soon along with the Armorer's Wrench.

The Reaction Rod is a great tool, and for heavy-duty shop use they are especially helpful. Much like the other posters above, I like the lack of a retention feature so I can slide the upper forward and spin it to perform other tasks without repositioning the tool or needing different tools. Life got a lot better around the workbench when I got a Reaction Rod, that's for sure.

That BEV is pretty slick! Could never figure out how it worked from the product diagram until watching the video.

My Reaction Rod works great but I can only use it vertically. The Magpul device shows promise, as does the wrench.

What causes you to be unable to use it horizontally? That is the only way that I use mine.

I could not find a link, or even photos. But I am holding one in my hands right now.
