Have been able to handle several of these now. I get the point that some things have been left off. However, I think that for what they are.........they are fine rifles.

Saw a 6900 box sitting on a table at a local gun show today. Taped to the box was a sheet of paper that said:
$1800
Saw one today at Sportsmans Warehouse in Colo Spgs today. $875. I looked at it and then pulled out my smartphone and did some in store research. I decided to pass. It was still "better" than the Bushmaster polymer abortion they had for $999.

I just set one up as a 3gun Rifle in my gun shop with a Burris XTR, MagPul ACS and a Surefire MB556K and priced all that for $1650....
Then again, we refuse to price gouge. MSRP is the highest we price anything.

Does anyone now if it has the same bolt carrier group as a 6920 or is it a lower quality cost cutting bolt?
Thanks
EDIT: Never mind...I found the info. What a shame, a good bolt would make this an outstanding deal. Anyone with a brain can stake a castle nut, and a gas block can be secured for a few bucks, but if the bolt not good then all bets are off.

For the price of the average Colt AR-15 I was able to buy my son and I each S&W M&P-15 Sports, one with a 1/8 barrel and one with 1/9 barrel. While I have an AimPoint Pro on my 1/8, I found an as new USGI hand guard / sight that I believe came off a Colt and added it to my son’s 1/9 Sport. Using a current Army manual I zeroed the 1/9 at 25 yard and the settings were spot on. As a plus both rifles have life time warranties and I bought them through a local Certified S&W Service Center that can repair them if the need arises. So far both rifles shoot about the same with 223/5.56 55gr bullets, however the rifle with the 1/9 barrel is noticeably more accurate with 22lr using a CMMG 22lr conversion kit.
