    Colt LE6900 Light Carbine?

Just got an in-stock notification on this at GrabAGun but it's already sold out. Looks like the mystery may be revealed soon.

    Price was $1,068.
This isn't an illegal gun, it's an "undocumented protection device". Don't be so insensitive.

    Walmart hasn't pulled anything.

It's time to organize a protest/riot in front of COLT's offices.

I haven't seen it, know nothing about it, and I ALREADY hate it.

My sources indicate it has a tubular handguard.

DISCLAIMER: May not actually have sources.

EDIT: My wild speculation was horribly correct.

    Oh geez.

If this is an accurate picture then I will not touch one of these, ever. They look like a DPMS saturday night special... although I'm sure the quality is still there since it is a Colt, after all.

Ditch the fruit cake tube handguard, and you have a carbine. Not as bad as I thought it might be.

True. If it's got a 2-stage or "match" trigger (and a crappy FF tube) then it's actually a good deal. That being said, I definitely can see that it has no Forward Assist which I do not like and it also does not appear to have a dust cover which IMO means it's not at all suitable for a duty/fighting weapon.

I noticed the lack of an F/A after I posted.

Looks like this is strictly a competition/hunting rifle, or for the dirt-clod shooter who doesn't need a rail and just wants a cheap Colt.

This is a Colt Commercial gun and really for what you get, it will be a good value. While you and I don't like the "tube" bubba will (which is the intended market). It is a simple fix though.

This gun is meant to go head to head with the S&W SPORT (which is WILDLY popular).
