[QUOTE=djmorris;1538405]True. If it's got a 2-stage or "match" trigger (and a crappy FF tube) then it's actually a good deal. That being said, I definitely can see that it has no Forward Assist which I do not like and it also does not appear to have a dust cover which IMO means it's not at all suitable for a duty/fighting weapon.[/QUOTE

No disrespect, but does an AK47 have a dust cover?

My guess is that many will see it as a good "hog gun" which will do nicely without a forward assist or a dust cover even with the "crappy" float tube.

The price point seems good for a Colt even without the bells and whistles during these price gouging times.

I say more power to Colt for making an affordable rifle and still having the 6920 available.

Actually, yes it does. The safety is shaped the way it is because it was designed to also function as a dust cover. And i don't mind the lack of forward assist, I never use them anyways, but would prefer a dust cover.

I have never been in battle with a AR 15 nor do I plan to but I have fired thousands of rounds thru several different models and have never to this point needed my FA or dust cover so there absence does not bother me at all. Good on Colt for finally offering a answer to all the no name AR platforms out there. I hope this saves one of the oldest firearms company's in the US as I have no doubt they are in hard times.

you may want to advise the managers at two wal-marts close to me then. i did think at the time all wal-marts did when that first one told me they had pulled, but select wal-marts did do it.

Did you scream when you realized there was no dust cover?

(BTW: I love that it doesn't have either one. As I don't care for either of them.)

I hope somebody installs an Osprey piston kit in one, and sends it to you. With an EOTech.

Hey... Gunbroker. It'd be listed in 2 minutes.

Good for me to learn about the dual function of the AK safety. Thank you.

I would like to add an AK to my collection along with an FAL.
