Finally finished my Light Go-To Firestick

The weapon is amazingly light. I am very happy with the results and it shoots very well. I will post range pics after this weekend.

    Specs:

    Colt 14.5" M4 Barrel
    12.0 Daniel Defense Lite Rail
    PWS FSC556
    LMT standard BCG
Troy Front BUIS (Rear on the way)
    Trijicon TA31DOC (without the DOC)
    Vltor Clubfoot Buttstock
    Doublestar Registered SBR Lower Receiver
    Unknown Upper Receiver
    KAC Panels & FVG
    YHM QD Sling Adapter
    Tango Down Battlegrip
Samson Low-Profile Gas Block (I am going to switch it out for the FSB that I shaved and grinded down)

Here's my other SBR. Apparantly I love the PWS FSC556 so much, it's on most of my unsupressed weapons.

Excellent looking weapons. Have you considered trying a Vltor FS?

Are you talking about this one?

That wouldn't work for my weapons because I don't have enough barrel exposed for it to work and at $225, that's a bit much for a BUIS for me.

That is one HUGE difference in height between the top rail of the Lite rail and the receiver flattop. It seems that zeroing iron sights would be quite troublesome, as a result.

This looks strikingly similar (almost exact) to a new build I'm doing, with a LaRue 12.0 instead of a DD lite.

I have only shot it with the ACOG so the height difference didn't matter to me. I'm still waiting on the rear BUIS. Even with the heaight difference, the BUIS will be sufficient for all target ranges that I'll be "legally" able to shoot.

    How much does it weigh?

I also noticed that the top rail on the DD handguards doesn't line up with your receiver rail. Is that right?

I have a DD Omega rail and it lines up perfectly. I thought the DD Lite was the same.

You said your upper is of unknown origin. Is it possible you have an out-of-spec upper?

I'm going to have to go look at the pictures on the DD website.

"This innovative system gives the weapon system an uninterrupted upper rail platform..." from Daniel Defense website description of their Lite Rail product.

Also, the pictures on their website all showed the handguard and upper receiver rails lining up.

Not sure what is going on with your's.
