I'm guessing it's there for the comped Glocks such as the 17C. Protect the optic. The whole package looks robust and hopefully will be available eventually. I'd give it a try.

    Leave the guns...bring the cannolis.

More likely licensed from EDM. I brought this up in another thread last week as Bill has licensed different versions of the Windrunner to other manufacturers in the past. This is one is pretty much the latest and greatest M96 with the new magazine well configuration and forend.

I was interested in the magwell for IDPA but it looks like it uses a brass plug to attach it in the second to the last pic.

If you enlarge the picture you can see it was built by EDM.

    Per their rules,

    B. Add-on weights for a competitive advantage (this includes, but is not limited to, weighted magazines, tungsten guide rods, brass magazine wells, weighted grips).

Granted the actual magwell isn't brass, but the use of brass in the plug would be a no go.

I could make a holster for a glock with that mount easily and I am very amateur working with kydex. Raven or PerSec could bust them out easily. Without a weapon-mounted light retention is on the trigger guard and with one, it is on the light itself. You would just need to form an extra large holster with ample room for the optic/mount to clear.

I think the coolest part of this mount is not having to modify your gun! (plus no reciprocating optic)
