Billy's knife used in the movie Predator.

    Lol J/K

Actually I would like to get the
Microtech Green Halo 5 V OTF Automatic Tanto knife one day.

Unfortunately automatic knives are illegal in Louisiana.

First up would be this SS honor dagger prototype -

Damascus blade with "My Honor Is True" in gold -

And on the flip side Reichfuhrer Himmler's signature -

IIRC correctly there were only two made so I am sure I could probably buy a house for what it would sell for.

Second up would be a Blackwood Mini Skirmish -

Limited production and at around $1500 out of my price range.

Third, I would like one of B.Goode's knives, the larger one -

But I do not think he has made these in a while.

Save your money, I used to sell and collect Microtech DA OTFs. If you manage to get one to last more than a couple of years and it DOES break, good luck getting it back from Microtech. I've known more people than just myself who've encountered Microtech CS nightmares. I really REALLY hate advocating this, but do yourself a favor - if you really want a DA OTF to play with - buy one of those high-quality Taiwanese copies first. They last about the same, hit harder, and only cost about $35 if you know where to look. That way you can still have fun popping the blade in and out while you save for the real thing (and hopefully change your mind by the time that time rolls around)... Sorry Marfione - but you steal my knives - I badmouth your company.

I have one of these on order, bead blasted and satin blade (supposedly only 10 more months of waiting):

It will be the last expensive knife I buy for awhile, hopefully. I have enough custom knife maker friends who happily churn out prototypes for me on a regular basis.

I really want a Chris Reeve Pacific, but I'm wrestling with the idea of spending that much on a knife.

They're totally worth it. I bring one everywhere I go, and they work well for everything from slicing meat to splitting wood. I don't think you can fit more utility in a smaller package.

If you want the same design, but made from tool steel with a convex edge for $150, have you looked at Blackjack knives?

I used to own several Blackjacks back in the early 90s - in fact I still have a small throwing knife from them that is nigh indestructible (needle point still after being thrown for 20+ years). Back in the day Blackjack was the isht - I bought my brother an Applegate Fairbairn when I was in 8th grade (it cost me all of my Summer job money) made by them and he has used and abused it and it's also still going strong 20+ years later. I've read that ownership of the company changed hands sometime back and the quality went downhill, but I also recall reading that they've since made a comeback... Plus it's tool steel... The only stainless blade knives I'll use are folders. Thanks for posting that - I'll check it out...

A Jim Hammond Flesheater. The real one, not the knock-off mass produced CKRT model.
