Just looked at them on the SWFA site, what reticle is preferred? I have the Swarovski, and don't see an obvious reticle choice.

Thanks everyone for your replies. This looks like a nice optic. I like that it is shorter than the z6i and the illumination adjustment.

I am curious to hear what makes the Kahles superior to the Swaro.

So am I. So the glass and eyebox are the same, but the scope is heavier and more rugged? Supposed to be like Short Dot rugged?

the clarity is better, the reticle is actually usable and it was very day time bright

I would put a Kahles up against S&B, Swarovski, Henzholdt, Zeiss, etc..

I have done enough back to back testing to feel very confident saying this and I own some of the others...

I'm not surprised, Kahles has always made outstanding glass.

That is quite an endorsement. I have an S&B 4-16x PMII and the glass is just amazing.

What reticle do you guys like? Mine will go on an SR25 ECC that I plan to run as a contact to 600 capable carbine.

I think I am leaning toward trying one of these.

    Hey fellas,

    Chris here form SportOptics.

Just wanted to chime in on the Kahles Rifle Scopes, in particular the Kahles 1-6x24 and what myself and our customers have experienced.

The scope is fantastic. Extremely wide FOV. Very easy scope to get behind. It is weighted very well. Not obnoxiously heavy like others 1-6's i've handled.

Glass is outstanding. Crystal clear with true color rendition, great resolution and contrast properties. No fish eye effect is evident on lower powers. Eye relief is constant through out the power range. Sight picture is nice and flat. Target acquisition is very fast in my experiences with the scope.

Reticles come based in either Mil or Moa. They have a velocity based reticle for those that like a BDC style reticle.

Illumination is daytime bright allowing the shooter to use the instrument like a red dot when set on 1x. The illumination control is an external rheostat adjustment.

I'm going to predict that it's going to be "the" three gun scope this season especially with Daniel Horner and Katie Harris dropping their S&B's and running the Kahles.

If you guys have anymore questions feel free to contact us.

Sounds impressive. Very pricey for us weekend warriors, though.

Does Kahles offer a Mil/LE sales discount like Leupold and Swarovski?
